Vision
“PCYCs - Improving Communities Through Youth Development”
Mission
That PCYCs, in Partnership with the Government and Community, be recognised for Excellence in Youth Development, through the provision of Sporting, Recreation, Cultural and Welfare Programs.
Corporate Goals
PROGRAMS – Appropriate and affordable programs for young people, families and the community
Safer communities through proactive partnerships and PCYC programs
PROMOTIONS – Increased profile of the Association and creation of greater awareness of its activities
CORPORATE SERVICES – Provision of administrative, financial, information management and human resource management, education and training services required to support quality services to the community
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT – Enhance Young Peoples’ ability to make positive choices
Young People are valued as successful participants in the social, cultural and economic life of the community
Objectives of the Association
To afford the young people of Queensland the opportunity to participate in clean healthy recreation
To improve the standard of physical fitness
To encourage and foster music, literature, art and culture
To encourage an interest in Australian flora and fauna
To encourage the principles of good citizenship
To awaken citizens to their responsibilities towards adolescents
To assist boys and girls to select their future vocations
To do anything conducive (helpful) to welfare the youth and citizens generally
To promote the physical, mental and social welfare of youth. Who, by physical or other handicaps or because of the indigent circumstances of their parents, may be regarded as disadvantaged

Queensland Police-Citizens Youth Welfare Association (QPCYWA) was founded on the 20th of May 1948
QPCYWA has established 44 PCYCs in Qld
PCYCs are located in metropolitan, regional and country areas
State Membership is now in excess of 49,000 members
Attendances across the State reached 1.6 million (2004)

QPCYWA is a registered charitable organisation
All financial gift of $2.00 and over being tax deductible

The club has monthly committee meetings with an annual general meeting.
Association Income
QPCYWA is largely self funded. Revenue is received from activities and attendances, fundraising, community support, Government and Corporate grants and subsidies.
